What does 2 step authentication do?
2 step authentication adds a layer of protection to your account. This protection when enabled helps prevent unauthorized access to your account. Two-step verification increases the security of your account by requiring you to provide an additional code to complete the login process. If your password is ever compromised, this verification will help prevent unauthorized access to your account.

Why am I not getting a confirmation email code to enable 2 step authentication?
Check your SPAM folder. If you still haven't received it, you'll need to change email addresses on your account.

Why am I getting errors and unable to enable 2 step authentication?
If you're using a web browser and pages aren't loading or it's not working as intended for you, the recommendation is to switch to another web browser. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Amazon Silk and Microsoft Edge have all been tested working with this system. If one browser isn't working for you, switch to another web browser and try again just to enable this 2 step authentication.

Which methods can I use to enable this?
  • Verification Code via App - This allows you to generate a verification code using an app on your phone, OR

  • Email Confirmation - This will send a code via email to verify your login. Other two-step verification methods should be chosen over this if possible.
What happens if I forgot my 2 step authentication information?
If you lost your mobile device or no longer have access to your email, you can do one of the following to resolve this issue:
  • Option 1: Use your backup generated codes which you can record and copy here: Click Here

  • Option 2: You'll need to Contact Support here. In this ticket we'll need your email address associated with your PlayerUp Account.
What other methods of verification can I enable?
Additionally, a total of 9 backup codes will be generated. We suggest you keep these backup codes on file as this is considered a secondary password you can also use if the option 1 and 2 above aren't working.
