Been in the vault for sometime now trending at $100+. Super surprised to see this back and Lion King btw though this is much more rare. $117 cheapest on playerup.

All gone at that price. Used prices are in the $65+ range, new in the near $100+ range.

It directly from Amazon. Luckily, I was able to secure an order. Had this in my "saved for later" for 2 years and it finally popped up.

Wow. Great price on Lion King 3D if you don't have it ($49.99): http://www.amazon.co...bxgy_mov_text_y

As curious as I am to see how this movie would translate into 3D, Disney can go themselves. It's bad enough when new movies hit at $50, but this takes asinine to a whole new level. I know the 3D conversion process isn't the cheapest thing in the world, but FFS this is outrageous.

Considering this title has been in the Disney vault since April of last year, $50 is still a good price. It'll probably be another 7 years before Disney releases it again.

I'm sorry but I don't think $50 is worth it for any single movie. If Disney wants to make their product difficult to buy then I will continue to avoid them. It's not like their movies are so much better than everyone else's stuff, and most other studios sell at far more reasonable prices. I know I say this all the time but I just don't understand how people can pay so much for a movie.

I guess some people just take movies more seriously than I do lol.

To be fair Disney remasters are first class. They are extremely impressive. Here's a comparison pic of BatB. Wait a bit and it'll switch back and forth from blu ray to dvd. http://www.darkrealm...t/beauty_3.html

This reminds me that I should go back and double-check on what's out there for BluRay titles that I don't have yet and pick them up at some point, so we don't have this foolishness in the future.

Not all Disney movies go in and out of the vault. There's a wiki page with the list of most of the movies (under Diamond Editions). Keep in mind that the list only shows the main movie (ex. Lion King), but any sequels will also be affected (Lion King 1 1/2, Lion King 2).

Disney films are timeless so you can watch them whenever. My kids are going to grow up on these that's for sure. Anyhow, I recommend getting disney blu rays as soon as they release more so for vault releases. Cinderella and Little Mermaid are now missing slips in my area.

It's not like they're not going to re-release them as the 24K (4K) diamond collection at some point.

lol Some of us are old man. My uncle final version of these film was on VHS before he passed away. I'm 34 so these will probably be my final version.

seriously why does Disney vault these movies? and why are their prices so damn ridiculous?

To increase demand. Prices are high because people want it.

    Guess deal's dead.

In some way it is a good thing while other it is a bad.

so print more of it? and in 5 years let the Cheapasses get their 10 dollar copies.

The vault is marketing genius in my opinion. They charge $45 because people will pay it since these are treated as limited release. They get consumers to pay full price instead of being in the $5 bargain bin. Once you are in the bargain bin it is so hard to really generate interest again in the future. The 1989 batman is being released again for the fifth time on blu ray and no one really care about that movie anymore while Aladdin is still highly demanded. A 1960's movie called Cinderella sold extremely well and that's a fossil. It's good for them but whatever to us. Not going to really complain when we can easily resale them for profit. Some of the disney dvds for crying out loud can still be sold for a good amount even though a new format is out. Limited release could be good depending on how it's done and disney is it the right way. just my opinion

I had purchased both movies on Amazon and paid $22.39 for Lion King and $21.99 for Beauty in the Beast 3D, I really don't know what the fuss is about.

Disney makes a killing by doing exactly what they do. I
